Howdy!
My name is Lynsi and I'm a senior at Water
Valley High School. All in all, I'm a
pretty happy camper! I find joy in the
simple things in life. I enjoy reading
during the summer, simply because I don't have
much spare time during school to devote to my
favorite books. I think Nicholas Sparks is
a literary genius! It should
come as no surprise that my favorite movies are
A Walk to Remember and The Notebook
(the book, however, is ten times better).
Yes, I enjoy heart-wrenching romances, but Saturday Night Live tops my
list of favorite TV shows. In fact, I
enjoy anything that makes me laugh. After
all, a day without laughter is a day wasted!
I'm pretty busy, and if it weren't for my daily
cup of Starbucks I'd probably have a mental
breakdown. Yummmmmmmm.....
As I said, I
keep myself pretty busy throughout the school
year. My favorite sport is volleyball, but
I also play basketball, run track, and cheer.
I also participate in UIL academics, CX debate,
and one-act play. As you can tell, I've
mastered the art of balancing my schedule
between fierce competition and intellectual
endeavors. While I take great pride in
representing my high school, next fall I'll be
trading in my black and white for maroon
instead. I'm pleased to say that I'm the
proudest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of
2012! I plan on majoring in Mathematics
and getting a minor in Kinesiology so I can
fulfill my dream of teaching high school math
and coaching volleyball.
I wouldn't be the person I am if it wasn't
for Jesus Christ. I believe that in
everything we do, we must glorify God. He
has blessed me with a passion for volleyball,
and I've figured out that my mission field is on
the court. I play for His glory, not my
own. This is why I decided to be a
volleyball coach. I plan on spending the
rest of my life teaching girls to worship Jesus
Christ through this incredible sport.
Isn't that awesome? The way I see it, God
has big plans for all of us, we just have to
open our hearts and listen to what those plans
are. I know where I'm heading, and I know
my Jesus will be there with me every step of the
way! |
